MORE NEW RE-KORR-DINGZ
Cave In will be recording with Mark Trombino in Los Angeles for a demo session on 10/29 & 10/30. Mark is known for his work on Jimmy Eat World records, a slew of underground rock bands usually from the mid-west, and playing drums in Drive Like Jehu. Recently, we've completed more rehearsal space demos for the following new songs: "Mouth In A Roam", "Anchorage", "Joy Opposites", "Day Trader", "Youth Overrided", "Stained Silver" and "Breath of Water". Also, the Troubador show in LA on 11/2 will be recorded live.
CARDCORE FROM MAGIC BULLET
Cave In is part of a series of trading cards issued by the Magic Bullet Record Co. There's a slight bit of useless trivial information that appears on the back of our card to fill your mind with. Also included in the set is the Locust, Good Clean Fun, and a slew of other bands.
I'M ON A MEXICAN... WHOA-WHOA... RAY-DEE-OHHHH...
Did anyone in Florida catch our live acoustic broadcast last month during a stop on the Plea For Peace tour? The station ID slips our memory at the moment, but here's a semi-complete set list from the show: "Patience" (GN'R), "To Be With You" (Tesla, with our roadie Santos on lead vocal), "Ooh La-la" (Faces song w/Adam on lead vocal), a horrible attempt at Extreme's "More Than Words", another horrible attempt at "Big Riff", "New Moon", "Burning Down the Billboards", and a brand new Cave In song called "Beautiful Son". Only the last three songs were broadcasted on the air.
NUSE ONGZ FRUM CAY-VINN
We've gotten a hold of another cassette 4-track machine during our stay in Los Angeles and so far have recorded very early incarnations for new songs "Anchorage" and (tentatively titled) "Mouth In A Roam", and a new version of "Day Trader". As of this writing, we've revamped the song "Youth Overrided" and worked on "SeaFrost" a bit more, as well.
NEW ALBUM FROM STEPHEN BRODSKY
"Olé Sunday" is another collection of 10 songs recorded lo-fidelity style, to be released by The Magic Bullet Record Company sometime in November 2001. In comparison to "Expose Your Overdubs", this collection of songs sound a bit more cohesive together. The vinyl for this record will be available sometime before the new year on Magic Bullet/Dopamine Records.
PLEA FOR PEACE
We want to say "muchos gracias" to the following folks for making the Plea For Peace tour an awesome experience: Mike Park, everyone at Sub City, Hot Water Music & crew, Matt Skiba & the Alkaline Trio, Thrice, Selby Tigers, Hiro, the Eyeliners, all the local suicide prevention centers who represented themselves at the shows, and most importantly, Santos & Sutton Sound for putting up with our dirty socks and constant debauchery in the van for a month. In the meantime, we're staying in Los Angeles rehearsing and writing new songs (2 have already been almost done, and an earlier new song slightly re-worked since this writing). We have the added bonus of rehearsing in the same building as Rage Against The Machine was once in, and we're in the same room as Kiss had used to rehearse for their last reunion tour.
NEW SINGLE TO BE RELEASED ON HYDRA HEAD
"Lift-Off" & "Lost In The Air", two songs recorded with Slade and Kolderie, will be released on a 7"/CD Single just in time for the holiday season.
ANOTHER US TOUR
In case you haven't seen enough of us, we'll be headlining a tour starting in California back to the east coast in all of November and even a little bit of December. Keep your eyes glued to this page for an itinerary.
