We still receive inquires regarding an exact release date for the Kid Kilowatt record. Even an approximate release date would seem to suffice with some! Anyway, the current status of the album is as follows: Certain members of the now-defunct group are not entirely happy with the end result. Yes, the record has been completed for close to three years now... and because of this, perspectives on what is good quality material and what isn't quality material have changed quite a bit since its initial completion. Our intention has been to take advantage of the fact that the record is still unreleased in order to improve the not-so-good quality material. Of course, this is all just a matter of opinion, but what we're dealing with here are a few anal-retentive nerds who have no desire to release any more under-par music than we already have. Thousands of records are released each year all over the world! Once we can successfully regroup together 4 people with entirely different schedules to make this happen, the Kid Kilowatt album will be placed into your hands.
NEW SUMMER 2002 CAVE IN RELEASE ON HYDRA HEAD
Because of the delay our next full-length album is getting, Hydra Head saves us from the boredom of having no new music to release this summer! We have time booked at some studios around the city until the end of April to properly record 6 or 7 brand new songs. Steering the tape machines will be Andrew Schneider, best known for his production work with countless Boston local bands (including Scissorfight, Cracktorch, Barbaro, etc.) and the Blue Man Group recordings. A few of the songs that will be included on this release are "Dark Driving", "Mouth In A Roam" and our version of "The Callus", a rare B-side originally done by the late, great Giants Chair.
