TEJAS HAS BEEN SERVED
We want to say thanks to all who came out to see the shows that we just came home from playing - the trip was a good get-away from the ugly Boston end-of-winter weather nightmare (T-shirt and jeans one day, and a wolly-mammoth parka the next). We played a bunch of new tunes, of which we see some of you have been discussing on the board. It's true: they suck, it's all garbage... hah hah. Read all about it in the LETTER OF THE MONTH section. Also, sorry to those who wanted to buy T-shirts when all we have remaining is youth medium-sized T-shirts (and a shitload of them, at that).

DEMOS
We'll be making more demos with our esteemed colleague Andrew Schneider in the beginning of next month. We're gonna shoot to have 6 new tunes ready to be documented, and also re-work some things on a few of the songs from the demos we made in February.

SXSW CD SAMPLER
Just so you all know, we gave a song from our first batch of demos to the Hydra Head folks, and they stuck it onto a limited CD sampler. The disc features acts from Doghouse, Hydra Head, Tarantulas, Big Wheel, and Eyeball Records. The song is called "Trepanning" and we're happy to say that it's the only previously unreleased tune on the entire disc. They gave us a small quantity, so if we have any left by the time we've given them all out to friends and family, we'll make the rest available at our shows in April.

GODDAMN JUNK MAIL
Yes, for some reason, we have been receiving an unholy amount of it. Viagra, Viagra, Viagra... no, none of us have that problem, thankfully. So if you want to ensure that we receive and read your emails to us, please put "CAVE IN" in some obvious manner into the subject of your email.

CAVE IN SHOWS
Maybe you knew this already, but we are playing a few shows on our way to Texas for the South By Southwest Festival, between March 10th and March 17th. The shows will be with 27, our respected friends from Boston and new Hydra Head Records family members. Go to the TOURS page for more information.

NEW CAVE IN SONG ON SXSW CD SAMPLER
We don't have the tiny print to give you, but we can pass along the major details - the song "Trepanning", which we recorded with Andrew Schneider during our demo session in February, will appear on a CD sampler being given out at South By Southwest. The sampler will feature new songs from Tortuga, Hydra Head, and other Lumberjack - affiliated record label releases.

NEW GOATSNAKE TUNE
There's a new Goatsnake song called "Black Cat Bone" on the new Southern Lord CD sampler that is being passed around. The song features J.R. playing some mean-ass drums - and apparently, a new Goatsnake 7" is in the works for a release on Southern Lord. J.R. did play drums on two other songs in the same recording session, but we're not sure if one of these or both of these tunes will surface on this upcoming release. How about a new Goatsnake album? That's what we all really want to hear, now don't we?

TECH PROBLEMS
Who knows how or why this always happens to us... but we have not been receiving emails being sent to the cavein@cavein.net address for almost 3 weeks now. So we apologize once again if you have sent emails that aren't being replied to - we're trying to figure it out as you read this.

MO' CAVE IN TUNES
Yes, we're still pooping them out faster than we expected. Since our last demo session, we've got another four songs "in the can", as they say. Let's see... the words "Santana", "Sepultura", "Alice In Chains", "Pantera", "Barbaro", and "Nintendo" have all been tossed around in reference to one thing or another. We are having fun - we promise.

OUR MESSAGE BOARD
OK, OK, so it's not the greatest message board you've ever seen... yes, we read the stuff you guys say from time to time, but it's better than nothing, now isn't it? Anyway, thanks for taking a part in it and hopefully we'll assemble something a bit more "flashy" in the future.
